The Small Pavilion

This is one of Kay Anderson's paintings. The year she died, her daughter and granddaughter
brought many of her works on paper to the Haiku Retreat at Asilomar to share them with us.
It is still difficult to believe anyone so vital and loving is gone. . .

breathe
deeply of this autumn air
memories lapping my mind
soon to be seventy . . .
I understand my parents
